The Teachers’ Advisory Council (TAC) serves as an important advisory body to the Minnesota River Valley Education District by providing insight into the needs, priorities, and perspectives of educators across member districts. Council members also act as a conduit for communication between their local districts and MRVED, helping to share information, gather feedback, and strengthen collaboration.
The TAC is composed of teacher representatives from all nine member school districts. Each district is encouraged to designate two to three teachers to serve on the council, with at least one representative also serving on the district’s staff development committee.
In addition, the TAC plays a key role in the planning and design of MRVED’s collaborative professional learning events, including the Fall, Winter, and Spring Common Days, ensuring these shared professional development opportunities remain relevant, practical, and responsive to the needs of participating districts.
