The Superintendents’ Advisory Council serves as an important advisory body, working with the MRVED staff to assure the mission and goals of the MRVED are being met. By providing insight into district needs, organizational priorities, and strategic opportunities, the Superintendents' Advisory Council helps guide MRVED programs, services, and long-term direction. Council members also act as a conduit for communication between member districts, MRVED leadership, and the MRVED Board of Directors, helping to gather feedback, develop recommendations, and strengthen alignment across the organization.
The council is composed of superintendents from member districts and meets regularly, typically on a monthly basis, to address current issues, review regional initiatives, and support the mission and goals of MRVED. Working closely with the Executive Director, the council helps ensure that MRVED remains responsive to member district needs while maintaining a clear focus on collaborative service and continuous improvement.
In addition, the Superintendents’ Advisory Council provides valuable opportunities for superintendents to collaborate, learn together, problem solve, and support one another in their leadership roles. Through these regular meetings, members maintain a shared regional voice and help identify emerging needs and opportunities that benefit students, staff, and communities across all member districts.
