Curriculum Review and Development

2008-2009 Curriculum Review and Development

Summary of Meetings and Tasks

September 02, 2008

The first round of the MRVED curriculum review and development cycle was completed in 2005-06. The needs of the second round of the cycle are a great deal different than they were the first time around. The Best Practice Teams, Principals, Superintendents and the Teachers’ Advisory Council developed the Revised MRVED Curriculum Review and Development Cycle. The revised chart is located in "General Resource" section of this web site.

The Curriculum Leadership Teams that each district sends to meetings will be more responsible for the Review and Development process at the district level. Each district is being asked to assist the Curriculum Leadership Teams in disseminating the teams’ findings and helping them accomplish their assigned tasks by creating time for teachers to engage in reflective professional development. The models being used can also be found in the "General Resource" section of this web site.
