MELT MANIA
January 22, 2008
On January 21, 2008, over 400 teachers and administrators from seven districts gathered at the Dawson-Boyd School District for a day of professional development. The teachers took part in breakout sessions in the morning on topics ranging from Autism to Math in the 21st Century. They also spent time in grade level and content area meetings where they had the opportunity to share ideas, learn new and relevant content and teaching techniques, and build relationships with educators from nearby schools. A motivational speaker completed the afternoon session and the teachers were on their way back to their districts with a wealth of information to incorporate into their teaching.
